Methylprednisolone was originally approved by the FDA in 1957.

NOTE: methylprednisolone is FDA approved for the palliative treatment of leukemia or non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in adults, and acute leukemia for childhood. It is also indicated for the treatment of hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood) associated with cancer.
